We all have our personal struggles. We complain to ourselves, to our families, to our friends, our neighbors. We commiserate, we bitch about our lack of money, or why we aren’t thin enough, or pretty enough, why must our parents act the way they do, why is that neighbor’s grass greener…seemingly innoucous complaints really in the long picture. And these complaints serve no purpose other than to waste precious energy.
I was walking my dogs and saw these wildflowers struggling to grow around this telephone pole and stopped dead still. I thought to myself of the struggle these flowers had growing in the tarred pavement and concrete sidewalk around a wooden pole. Now that’s struggling, but they were doing it. Determined to grow and look beautiful for anyone that happened to notice. For those that took the time to notice.
Isn’t that the point of life? To earn your rightful place, there should be some type of struggle. And when you taken the longer road, you’ve learned so much more, and you’re so much more beautiful. You have an inner strength, an inner peace and an inner beauty that no one can match. Now that’s something to be envied. If you take the time and use your energy wisely.
